Our Story

Logan Antiques was founded in the summer of 1985 by my husband Tom and I. Both with a strong passion for beautiful old items and the lore associated with them we filled our old Bank St location with a large and variant collection. While my biggest passion is antique jewellery my husband, on the other hand, was a walking encyclopedia of all antique knowledge. He was specifically drawn to art glass, pottery, and furniture but it didn’t end there... Tom’s love for antiques was endless! He would volunteer every year at the Billings Bridge antique road-show, relaxing in what was his comfort zone. He rejoiced in teaching others about their treasures. The same could be said for the days he spent at the shop. When a customer walked out not only did they leave with a nice new piece but they would leave with a wealth of knowledge.

After Tom’s passing Logan’s eventually made the decision to move into the Ottawa Antique Market (O.A.M.). Here the caring and knowledgeable spirit that Tom and I have instilled in our shop meets its kin in a variety of seasoned vendors who share the same glowing passion for antiques as us. At the O.A.M. the customer can benefit not only from the experienced perspectives of different vendors but in the flexibility in store hours that the arrangement allows as well.
